Azita Ghanizada

Azita A. Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is an Afghan American Actress in the United States. She has participated in numerous TV shows. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents moved to the US and were given asylum. She was raised within Northern Virginia and is the middle child of two sisters. Ghanizada began her career on the television scene through a handful of National Commercials. Ghanizada appeared as Chiara in Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2003). In recognition of the performance, she was nominated in the festival's Cannes Film Festival, for Best Actress. The TV shows she guest starred in include How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells, NUMB3RS bones, Psych and Castle. Most recently, she played as a character supporting for the film Blood Shot (2009). Also, she was an independent comic on You Only Better 2009. Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she joined the cast for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. In the second season of Nightshift, she was holistic specialist the Dr. Saira Bastra.
